Is it true that Updater was once a publicly-traded company?

Yes! Updater was a publicly traded company on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:UPD) from 2015 to 2018. We pursued an IPO on the ASX in 2015 as a fundraising strategy, not as a liquidity event – you can read more about our decision to IPO in Entrepreneur Magazine. This unique strategy solidified Updater as the smallest VC-backed American tech company – at only 25 employees at the time – to ever IPO on a public market. We delisted from the ASX in 2018 to pursue private funding and accelerate the company’s growth.
